Walter (Jas) Condley is an experienced Hardware Head with a demonstrated history of working in the electrical and electronic manufacturing industry. With over 8 years of relevant experience, he is skilled in mixed-signal RF and digital systems design, spacecraft, positioning, and Python. Currently, he is working as a Technical Lead Manager at Cruise, where he leads a team of engineers and manages technical projects. Previously, Walter has worked as a Hardware Engineering Manager and Lead Engineer/Manager Embedded Systems and NPI at Zendar, where he developed architecture and implemented accelerators for parts of the radar signal-processing chain. He has also led a small team to implement a new FPGA platform, including Linux kernel module development and FPGA dev to timestamp and aggregate data from multiple radar heads. Walter has de-risked alternative solutions for GNSS/IMU combo and FPGA systems, dramatically reducing per-unit cost, and led the release of the 0.1 firmware. Walter holds an M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Certificate of Space Systems Engineering in Space Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He also holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Walter's technical skills include Senior Software Engineering and Python.
